Our Management

Marek Kempa

Marek Kempa


Marek Kempa took the office of CEO of ArcelorMittal Warszawa on 1 January 2013.

From 2010 to 2012, he was CEO of Huta Królewska, a subsidiary of ArcelorMittal Poland.

Between 2006 and 2009, Mr. Kempa worked in Huta Królewska, first as head of the marketing department, and later as head of SAP implementation project and continuous improvement and production support department manager.

He is an enthusiast of COS- and WCM-based management.

Prior to joining the ArcelorMittal Group, Mr. Kempa worked as an alternative fuels specialist in the company Alba, and spent a few years working in the Netherlands, i.a. as a trade specialist.

He holds an M.A. degree in management from the University of Economics in Katowice, and a Bachelor’s degree in marketing from the Katowice School of Economics.


Dariusz Marchewka


Mr. Marchewka has served as CFO of ArcelorMittal Warszawa since 17 July 2006. He has been a member of the company’s Management Board since 27 June 2007.

Between 2000 and 2003, he was CFO of Aluminium Konin Impexmetal S.A.

In 1993, he graduated with an M.A. degree from the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry of the University of Lodz. He has also completed postgraduate studies at the Management and Marketing College - Faculty of Management and Marketing, and the Warsaw School of Economics - the Collegium of Business Administration.

In 2009, Mr. Marchewka completed “Strategic Leadership Academy” training programme organized by the Canadian International Management Institute ICAN Sp. z o.o.


Jan Nowicki


Mr. Nowicki became the company’s COO on 1 June 2006. Since 27 June 2007, he has been a member of the Management Board of ArcelorMittal Warszawa.

He has worked in the company since June 2nd, 1972, first as a shop floor worker, and later as a technology specialist, deputy Production Manager, and Hot Rolling Mill Manager.

In 1972, Mr. Nowicki graduated from a Secondary Chemical Technical School. In 2009, he completed “Management I” training programme organized by the Canadian International Management Institute ICAN Sp. z o.o.


Alina Bielecka

Human Resources Director

On 1 May 2012, Alina Bielecka was appointed a Member of the Management Board of ArcelorMittal Warszawa.

Ms. Bielecka has worked in the company’s human resources department since 2000. In 2003, she was appointed Human Resources Director.

Between 2003 and 2006, she was President of the Management Board of Huta Service sp. z o.o., a company providing payroll, accounting and IT services.

Alina Bielecka took active part in the company’s restructuring process, contributing to the drafting of the company’s Collective Labour Agreement.

She holds an M.A. degree in Polish Studies from the University of Wrocław. She has also completed postgraduate studies in journalism at the University of Warsaw, and, in 2008, she was conferred an MBA degree by the Kozminski University.
