Integrated Management System Policy

The principle of this Policy, defined by the Management Board of ArcelorMittal Warszawa, is to satisfy the requirements and expectations of our Customers with the use of advanced technology, in safe conditions for our employees and our partners, with minimisation of the impact on the natural environment and rational media management and with respect to the rules of law and other requirements.

In the view of the above mentioned, we set the following objectives:

  • performing services at the highest level,
  • improving the quality of our processes, products and operations in the scope of OHS, natural environment and the energy of efficiency
  • reducing negative impact of our activities on the natural environment,
  • pursuing to reaching and maintaining high OHS standards,
  • essurance  safe and hygienic working conditions and raising the level of a safe work culture
  • increasing energy efficiency, 
  • improving economic results of ArcelorMittal Warszawa,
  • running the business with respect to the code of business conduct.

The above described objectives will be achieved by means of:

  • Implementing the most recent solutions for technology, OHS, environment and energy,  
  • Developing the cooperation with the Customer and monitoring its satisfaction,
  • Planning and implementation of operations in the traffic maintenance,
  • Analysis of non-compliances, determining their reasons and implementing appropriate actions,
  • Reducing the emission of dusts, gases and noise,
  • Monitoring working conditions and the environmental impact,
  • Anti-pollution measures – well planned and effective waste management,
  • Operation according to the rules of law and other applicable rules,
  • Constant monitoring and analysis of indicators / KPI, objectives/ and searching for opportunities for the improvement or optimisation,
  • Providing necessary measures for performance of determined objectives and actions,
  • Acting in accordance with the principle of sustainable development aimed at reaching the economic objective while maintaining environmental, OHS and quality standards,
  • Systematic control and assessment of the suppliers,
  • Making purchases of energy-saving products and services and designing for improving the energy result,
  • Planning and implementation of maintenance activities,
  • Monitoring of working conditions and environmental impact
  • Engaging / consulting and complicity / employees in activities related to the quality of work safety, environment and efficient use of energy,
  • Implementing well planned and effective media management,
  • Raising the level of qualifications, knowledge and awareness of our employees and subcontractors,
  • Respecting human rights and building partnership relations with all interested parties,
  • Opening the dialogue with local community on the undertaken economic and safety actions and natural environment and its protection,
  • Identifying and reducing threats, preventing accidents at work, occupational diseases and potential accidents,
  • Involving the employees in the activities improving the quality, work safety, environment and the energy of efficiency
  • Operating for maintaining and developing certifications of our products,
  • Maintaining and constantly improving management systems: ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 as well as Manufacturing Quality Control and PED

The implementation of this Policy is supervised by the Representatives of the Management Board for the System, and its assessment is performed by the Management Board during periodic reviews.

Certificates – Management Systems

A certified management system was implemented in Huta in 2000.

Continuous efforts to improve and develop the system ISO 9001, combined with the expectations of our customers – mainly from the automotive and bearing industries, helped us obtain, in 2005, a certificate confirming that our company meets the requirements of the ISO/TS 16949 norm (quality management systems – particular requirements for the application of ISO 9001:2000 in automotive industry in serial production and in the production of spare parts).

Further improvements – forced by the market requirements – confirmed that Huta’s Quality Management System complies with requirements – the Pressure Equipment Directive PED 2014/68/EU (first certification in 2002) and encompasses the plant production control system, specified in the PN – EN 10025 norm, and that it complies with the Construction Products Directive 89/106/EEC, which entitles us to place the CE marking on our products (in accordance with the PN – EN 10025 norm).

In 2007, an Environment Management System compliant with the PN-EN ISO 14001 norm was incorporated into Huta’s certified Quality Management System.

In 2008, ArcelorMittal Warszawa  obtained a certificate in the field of occupational health and safety for compliance with the requirements of the OHSAS 18001 standard

In 2011, the Laboratory of Quality Control Department achieved the AB1300 accreditation certificate. Accredited activity is specified in the scope of accreditation – scope

In 2017, Huta was awarded the  Suststeel certificate, confirming that its operations are in accordance with the principles of sustainable development and a certificate of the energy management system with the requirements of the international ISO 50001 standard.
